Historical city
Lamego is an ancient Portuguese city located in the north in the district of Viseu, a Douro sub-region. With a population of 12,200 inhabitants, it is the district’s second largest city and home to the municipal headquarters of the county with the same name.
The county of Lamego occupies an area of 165.42 km2 and has a population of 26,691 inhabitants, spanning 18 parishes.
The city of Lamego is 35 km from Pinhão; approximately 45 minutes by car.
